The Friendship > Hazing social media campaign celebrates what makes college experiences meaningful by highlighting the friendships, teamwork, and positive traditions that create lasting memories. Through authentic videos and stories from students, the campaign showcases the moments that define brotherhood, sisterhood, and team culture—not through adversity or humiliation, but through support, trust, laughter, and shared experiences. By focusing on what students value most about their organizations and teams, the campaign reinforces that belonging is built through positive connections.

Rather than telling students what not to do, Friendship > Hazing invites them to imagine and create the kind of culture they want to be part of. The campaign encourages students to embrace traditions that bring people together, celebrate one another, and foster genuine relationships. Through powerful peer voices and uplifting messages, the campaign reminds students that the strongest communities are built on friendship, integrity, and teamwork—and that these are the experiences worth passing on.

Create your own campaign:

  1. Using a phone, record students answering a question. Using one question keeps clips consistent. Try to keep responses to 10-15 seconds.
    Sample questions:
    “What is your favorite activity in your chapter/team?”
    “To me, brotherhood / sisterhood means…”
    “What does your Big Sis/Bro mean to you and why?”
    “The moment I knew I belonged was…”
    “My favorite value in my organization is…”
