As the new year begins, HazingPrevention.Org announces a change in name of the organization to the Hazing Prevention Network.
“For 15 years, we have empowered people to prevent hazing across the country. We are more than a website,” said Executive Director Todd Shelton. “We are a network of people, organizations and resources and this is better represented by our new name.”
Together, our work continues as an international leader in hazing prevention—teaching people to move beyond punishment to create a culture that stops hazing before it starts.
The Hazing Prevention Network continues its commitment to education at colleges and universities; at high schools; in fraternities and sororities; in sports teams & campus recreation; in the performing arts & marching bands; clubs; and any organization regarding the dangers of hazing and how to create cultures where hazing is not acceptable.
The new logo incorporates a hand across the heart symbolizing the Hazing Prevention Pledge thousands of students and professionals commit to each year. Additionally, the icons represent the heart and hard work that go into preventing hazing.
“Fifteen years after I founded this organization, I’m thrilled about the new brand and the opportunity to reach even more people with our prevention education that it provides,” said Tracy Maxwell, founder of HazingPrevention.Org.

Connecting people, families and organizations to the latest prevention science and resources will not change, and neither will our mission to empower people to prevent hazing.”
Hazing Prevention Network is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people to prevent hazing, by providing education and resources, advocating on hazing prevention, and building partnerships with others.
