Our Mission

Our mission is empowering people to prevent hazing.

Our Vision

Our vision is a world in which no one suffers embarrassment, harassment, ridicule, injury, or mental or physical distress as a condition of acceptance into a group.

Our Values

Human Dignity: We treat all people with respect and honor.

Diversity and Inclusions: We seek to include and consider a variety of ideas, perspectives, and people.

Courage: We advocate for what is right and encourage others to stand up even when it is difficult to do so.

Our history

HazingPrevention.Org started in 2007 when our founder, Tracy Maxwell, decided to change the conversation about hazing from how to punish hazing to how to prevent it. In the years since, we have expanded our work to include hazing prevention programs for students in middle school, high school and college. We are much more than a website, but here you will find resources, links to our educational programs, stories and articles, in pursuit of our mission to empower people to prevent hazing.
