Hazing Prevention Network (HPN) is excited to expand our relationship with ForCollegeForLife who will now manage engagement scheduling for our student leader’s workshop.
“As one of America’s leading college speaking agencies, we believe ForCollegeForLife has the experience to help us take our program to campuses across the country,” said Todd Shelton, HPN Executive Director.
“Our Campus, Our Culture: Preventing Hazing Together” is a three-hour workshop developed by Dr. Emily Perlow and facilitated by a HPN facilitator to interactively engage participants in applying real-time hazing research about the predictors and outcomes of hazing to their campus experiences. Student leaders will work together to understand and identify the campus specific motivators for individual, organizational, and community participation in hazing. Guided by the strategies to prevent hazing shared by facilitators, participants will leave the workshop having prioritized strategies they plan to implement.
“Our Campus, Our Culture is a powerful workshop that equips chapter leaders with the tools to prevent hazing on our campus,” said Hannah Leyhew, director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, Middle Tennessee State University. “The session provided invaluable insights into the complexities of hazing, and the interactive components helped us identify campus-specific risk factors and develop effective prevention strategies.”
A sponsor of 2024 National Hazing Prevention Week, ForCollegeForLife has been delivering impactful programs of relevance to colleges, universities, organizations, and events for students and professionals since 2014. They enter their second decade with an industry-leading level of service for campus and organizational partners.
“We believe wholeheartedly in the mission of the Hazing Prevention Network,” said Casey J. Cornelius, ForCollegeForLife Founder and President. “Anything we can do to amplify their good work and utilize our core strengths to get this workshop in front of more groups is in definite value-alignment for us. Together we can work to end hazing in our campus communities.”
